PURPOSE: To provide a memory control device and a memory control method with which it is possible to perform an error check and a refresh process on a memory without obstructing the operation of the memory.CONSTITUTION: The number of times data is read from each of a plurality of blocks constituting a memory is stored as block access count information. A refresh process is performed on a block among the plurality of blocks of the memory in which the number of times data is read exceeds a first threshold on the basis of the block access count information. A memory check process is also performed on a block in which the number of times data is read is less than or equal to the first threshold and greater than or equal to a second threshold. No refresh process and memory check process are performed on a block in which the number of times data is read is less than the first threshold and second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
