The lithium composite oxide is a secondary particle being aggregation of primary particles having an average particle diameter of 3 μm or more and 20 μm or less, and having a compression rupture strength of 100 MPa or more and less than 200 MPa. The lithium composite oxide contains at least one element selected from Ba, Ca, and Sr.
