PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass member for a wet area which has antifouling property and weather resistance, and can preserve transparency intrinsic to glass.SOLUTION: The glass member for a wet area is provided that is used in indoor wet area environment. The glass member for a wet area comprises a glass substrate and an amorphous carbon layer provided on the surface of the glass substrate and containing carbon atom mainly. The amorphous carbon layer has a density of more than 1.1 g/cmand less than 2.0 g/cm, a film thickness of 4-20 nm, and a value (X) of more than 0.2 and less than 0.9, where the value (X) is obtained by dividing a color difference (ΔE) before and after the forming of the amorphous carbon layer by the film thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
