PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that enables appropriate communication between a terminal device and communication device according to the state of the terminal device and communication device.SOLUTION: If it is determined that a communication device exists in a LAN to which a PC 10 belongs (YES in S44), the PC 10 supplies request information to an MFP 80 without going through the Internet 6 (S50); and if it is determined that the MFP 80 does not exist in the LAN to which the PC 10 belongs (NO in S44), the PC 10 supplies the request information to the MFP 80 via a server 50 on the Internet 6 (S60 to S64).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
