Disclosed are a switching fault detection and detection processing method and device. The switching fault detection method comprises: after a terminal is switched from a first category of system cell to a second category of system cell, a network side device sends control signaling for measuring the first category of system cell and the second category of system cell to the terminal; the network side device receives a first measurement result obtained after the terminal measures the first category of system cell, and/or a second measurement result obtained after the terminal measures the second category of system cell, according to the control signaling; and under the condition that the first measurement result and/or the second measurement result meets a first predetermined condition, determine that the switching of the terminal from the first category of system cell to the second category of system cell is unnecessary switching. By means of the present invention, the problem that unnecessary switching cannot be detected in relevant art is solved, thus achieving the effect of detecting an unnecessary switching phenomenon. |
