PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an apparatus located out of a communication range of short-range communication used for connection in an ad hoc network.SOLUTION: There is provided a communication range restriction device 1001 including a wireless LAN AP part 1016 that performs communication with another communication device using a first communication method enabling communication within a wireless LAN communication area, where when determining that the another communication device has received transmitted predetermined information, the wireless LAN AP part 1016 performs communication with the another device within a BLE communication area that is different from the wireless LAN communication area and in which the another communication device can receive the predetermined information. The communication range restriction device intermediates communication from the another communication device to another device located out of the BLE communication area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
