PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof structure for a vehicle which can configure a step within legal dimensions and prevent the area of an opening in the roof from being reduced.SOLUTION: By moving a sliding roof 16 relative to a roof 12 on the fixed side, an opening 14 in the roof 12 is opened and closed. The interior side of a front end part of the sliding roof 16 is provided with a protrusion 22 that projects from a general part of the sliding roof 16 toward the vehicle lower side. In a side view of the vehicle, a lower surface 22A of the protrusion 22 on the side of a vehicle interior 42 is arranged, when the sliding roof 16 is closed, on the vehicle upper side than a lower surface of an opening trim 26 located on the vehicle front side of a step part 22C between a lower surface 16A of the general part of the sliding roof 16 and the lower surface 22A of the protrusion 22. A rear end corner part of the protrusion is arranged at a location where an impactor contacts the lower surface of the sliding roof 16, the rear end corner part of the protrusion, and the rear end corner part of the opening trim almost simultaneously in the event of a head-on collision of the vehicle. |
