PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, capable of preventing a developing tank having no interchangeability from being attached and wasteful initialization processing from being performed. SOLUTION: This imaging device is equipped with a printing part 3 for printing image information that has a developing tank 17, a paper-supplying and carrying part 4 for supplying and carrying paper P to be printed, a paper ejection part 5 for ejecting the printed paper P, and a control unit for controlling those parts. The control unit decides whether or not the tank 17 is suitable for the imaging device, when power is supplied, and decides whether or not the tank 17 is new, when the tank 17 is suitable for the image forming device, than performs processing sequence differently, depending on when the tank 17 is new or when it is not new. |
