1278016 Moulding spectacle frames AMERICAN OPTICAL CORP 14 April 1970 [15 April 1969] 17708/70 Heading B5A Spectacle frames, or parts thereof, are produced by mixing liquid, substantially 100% reactive solutions of an epoxy composition and hardener, preheating the mixture to less than 200‹ F., metering it into the mould cavities at a rate preventing air bubble formation, heating the mould to polymerize the mixture and removing and degating the products. The mixture may be moulded under pressure and is preferably degassed before moulding by placing under vacuum after mixing. It is preferably fed into the bottom of the mould cavity.
