METHOD FOR RECOVERING LOST ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a medium to an article separated from an owner, indicating that it is the lost article and the route for returning the lost article to the owner without burdening the finder of the lost article. SOLUTION: A client is provided with a medium on which a recovery indication and an identification code are described and which can be attached to the article. A person who can be the finder pays attention to the medium and recognizes that the article is the lost article. Simultaneously, the person pays attention to the recovery indication of 'please drop it into a mailbox' and drops the article to a mailbox. The lost article dropped in the mailbox is recovered to the post-office box of a recovery/return dealer. The recovery/return dealer retrieves the identification code attached to the medium and prints the name and address of the owner. The recovery/return dealer attaches a label to the article and returns the article to the client.
