Condensate drain for steam pipe - has annular groove inside pipe with drain port regulated by valve

The condensate removing device for a steam pipe comprises an annular groove (7) in the wall of the pipe and at least one hole (8) from the bottom of the groove to the exterior of the pipe. Water passing along the pipe tends to collect in the groove and pass through the hole out of the pipe. The hole is pref. connected to a duct (10) leading to a collecting tank. The duct may include a closure tap. Several holes may be provided around the periphery of the groove and the pipe may be surrounded by a housing (9) to which a single outflow duct is connected.
