PURPOSE:To keep a maintenance cycle for a long time and reduce the cost by making a cleaning roller, which is so composed that its surface member can be replaced, press-contacted with a heat-fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:A heat roller 1 and a pressure roller 3 are thermally press- contacted and fix a toner image on transfer paper 4. A cleaning roller 6 is made press-contacted with the heat roller 1. For a surface member 7 of the roller 6, a heat-resistant web is worked to have a cylindrical shape and arranged for free replacement by only winding it on the inner layer 8 without bonding. With this, the toner attached on the surface of the heat roller 1 is completely removed by the roller 6, and when the surface member 7 becomes dirty, it is simply replaced with a new web. Therefore, the cleaning effect is not impaired even after 60,000 sheets or more have been copied, it is possible to keep a maintenance cycle for a long time and promote reduction of the cost. |
