PURPOSE:To enhance acceptance potential and stability against repeated uses by interposing a layer contg. a specified perylene-derived dye or pyrazoline- derived dye bound with a resin between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by interposing the layer contg. a perylene-derived dye represented by formula I, R<1>, R<2> being H, methyl, C6H4.R<3>, C6H3.R<4>R<5>, C6H4-N=N-C6H5, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> being each H, or 1-8C alkyl, and a pyrazoline-derived dye of formula II, R<6>, R<7>, R<8> and R<9> being H or 1-8C alkyl, and n being an integer of 0-2, both bound with a resin between the conductive substrate and the photosensitive layer. The presence of the dyes of formulae I and II permits injection of carriers from the conductive substrate to the photosensitive layer to be prevented in the dark when the photosensitive layer has been electrostatically charged, and accordingly, acceptance potential and stability against repeated used to be enhanced. |
