The pipe coupling includes curved segments (10,12) securable on juxtaposed pipe ends. Each coupling segment provides for the reception of seals. The segments are secured end to end to encircle the plpes. Juxtaposed end faces (26,28) are provided on at least one pair of adjacent coupling segments inclined at an oblique angle to the diametrical X-Z plane of the coupling. The segments are drawn together e.g. by bolts (30) and nuts (20). The juxtaposed end faces can be relatively inclined and converge in the radially inward direction of the coupling. |
