<p>PURPOSE:To provide a spacer for an over-head transmission line, which has excellent strength with relatively simple constitution and can materialize weight reduction and facilitate the manufacture and improve the life of a product, and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION:In a spacer for an over-head transmission line, where a frame member 50 made in ring shape and a plurality of cable holding members, specified intervals apart, are junctioned with each other, the frame member 50 is constituted by covering a honeycomb member 52 and the periphery of the honeycomb member liquidtightly with fiber-reinforced resin 54. And, this spacer for an over-head transmission line is manufactured by winding unhardened prepreg on a mandrel, and putting honeycomb members with widths half or less than the widths of this wound prepreg side by side on the prepreg and forming them in a ring shape, and turning the prepreg at both ends where it does not contact the honeycomb members so as to cover the whole circumference of the honeycomb member, and then hardening the resin.</p> |
