<p>A plurality of recording media is housed in a recording medium reproducing device so that the medium can be exchanged during reproduction. A recording medium housing section (21) houses a plurality of recording media. A first transferring means transfers the recording media between the outside of an enclosure and the housing section (21), and a second transferring means transfers the recording media between the housing section (21) and a reproducing means. The first and second transferring means are positioned at different heights. The housing section (21) is moved in the vertical direction by a number of stages which is larger than the stages at which the recording media are housed in the housing section (21) so as to match the positions of a medium to the first or second transferring means.</p> |
