<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach and detach a CD-ROM or the like on a main body upper surface, to perform effective utilization as a coordinate input surface and to contribute toward making a notebook type electronic appliance into multi-media by housing a keyboard inside a main body. SOLUTION: A display part 3 composed of a flat panel display such as an LCD or the like for instance is fitted to an approximate center and a display device 2 is freely turnably pivotally supported at the rear end of the main body 1. A CD-ROM drive 4 is attached to an upper part inside the main body 1 so as to turn an opening/closing cover for mounting the CD-ROM to be almost flat with the upper surface of the main body 1. Thus, the CD-ROM is attached and detached to/from the upper surface of the main body 1 and attachment/ detachment operability is improved. The coordinate input device 5 of a pen input type is attached to the upper part of the main body 1 so as to turn the input surface to be almost flat with the upper surface of the main body 1. The keyboard 10 is mounted slidably into the main body 1 through an opening pierced at the vertical wall surface lower part of the front end of the main body 1 and is housed inside the main body 1 when it is not used.</p> |
