NON-CONTACT IC CARD AND ITS READING METHOD IN EMERGENCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read recorded data even at the time of emergency such as the damage of one part of a non-contact IC card. SOLUTION: An IC module 5 arranged inside a card substrate is provided with plural memory IC chips 7 and a control IC chip 6 for allowing those memory IC chips 7 to store the same data. Thus, even when the damage of any part of this card is present, there is large possibility that any memory IC chip 7 is left normal. The IC module 5 is provided with terminals 9 for emergent reading so that recorded data can be read from any memory IC chip 7 in a contact reading system.
