PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the malfunction of communication equipment caused by the extraction of error data due to the degradation of light in an optical communication system. SOLUTION: This guard device for malfunction prevention on the side of reception is provided with a means 1 for outputting the same data when these data are received at determined positions in continuously received three frames but outputting the same data as data outputted just before when these data are not equal and a means 2 for outputting the output of the means 1 before stop while stopping the operation of the means 1 when any error in the received frame is detected but selecting the data of the received frame as they are and outputting them to the outside of the device when no error is detected.
