摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency for the entire system by continuing the function processing specific to each system resource even on the occurrence of a fault during image processing where each system resource is compositely intermingled. SOLUTION: Even on the occurrence of a fault in a printer section 1 during a copy function processing by a scanner section 4 and the printer section 1, a CPU 8 in the image processing system continues image input processing by the scanner section 4 without interruption and stores read image data to a memory 9 so as to accept a succeeding image read request without hindrance and allows the printer section 1 to print out the stored image data when the printer section 1 is restored.
