An implement package (10) comprises an implement (12) to be displayed for sale and a carrier (18). The implement has a manually engageable portion (16) to be manually engaged by an individual's hand. The manually engageable portion is engageable by the individual with a preferred configuration of the hand for use of the implement. The carrier includes a package hanging portion (20) constructed and arranged to enable the package to be hung from a sales rack, the carrier further including an implement engaging portion (22). A shrink wrap film (26) is shrunk onto the implement and the implement engaging portion of the carrier so as to secure the implement to the carrier without interfering with the individual's ability to engage the engageable portion of the implement with the preferred configuration of the hand for use of the implement, to enable the user to determine the comfort of manually engaging the manually engageable portion of the implement without requiring removal of the implement.
