PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the miniaturization of a machine tool in relation to a spindle structure. SOLUTION: This spindle structure of a machine tool is equipped with a spindle 106, a sleeve 160 arranged inside the spindle 106 and is relatively movable freely and in the axis direction extending over a prescribed range, a chuck means installed on the end part of the sleeve 160, a cylinder mechanism 118 for moving the sleeve 160 in the axis direction, and a driving pulley 110 for rotating the spindle 106 and the sleeve 160. A storing recess part 182 is formed on the driving pulley 110, and a part of the cylinder mechanism 118 is stored in the storing recess part 182.
