PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently convert an input electric signal into an electric signal with a voltage being different from that of the input electric signal by providing a pair of electrodes on one side surface of a piezoelectric ceramic, and by electrically insulating the two electrodes. SOLUTION: For example, electrodes P1 and P2 are provided on a side surface A of a piezoelectric ceramic 2, electrodes Q1 and Q2 are provided on one of side surfaces B, C, and D of the piezoelectric ceramic 2, and the electrodes are electrically insulated one another. A complex 1 is composed of the piezoelectric ceramic 2, electrodes P1 and P2, and three sets of the electrodes Q1 and Q2. When the complex is excited for elastic vibration, conversion to an electric signal with a voltage VOUT is made between the electrodes Q1 and Q2 again. At this time, the voltage VOUT becomes equal to the total of voltages V1, V2, V3 corresponding to parts R1, R2, and R3, respectively, thus outputting an electric signal with the voltage VOUT between terminals T0-T3, that with (V2+V3) between terminals T1 and T3, or that with V3 between terminals T2 and T3.
