<p>A delivery formulation and system for delivering proteinaceous medicaments such as inactivated bioactive peptides to the body. The formulation includes effective amounts of the peptide as well as a tissue (e.g., mucosal) permeation enchancer selected from the group consisting of quaternary ammonium salts. The system can be used, for instance, by spraying the formulation into the buccal cavity, e.g., to the roof of the mouth.</p> |
