PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a halogen-free resist composition of superior flame resistance, and superior other characteristics. SOLUTION: A resist resin, having a lowered halogen content, is blended with (a) 140-160 pts.wt. aluminum hydroxide and (b) 0.1-15 pts.wt. molybdenum compound as flame retardants as essential components to obtain the objective resist composition or the resin component is blended with a polyfunctional cyanic ester compound to obtain the objective resist composition. Even though the resist composition is free of halogen, phosphorus or antimony, it has superior flame resistance (self-extinguishability V-0). A circuit board is obtained by applying the resist composition to the surface of a circuit board, having self- extinguishability (V-0) and curing the composition also exhibits self- extinguishability (V-0). The resist composition is superior in characteristics, such as heat and migration resistances. |
