<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which is constituted to prevent the occurrence of excess air resistances when the air conditioner is operated for cooling, heating, and cleaning air as compared with the case where an heat exchanger and an air cleaning unit are arranged in a vertically overlapping state by arranging the heat exchanger and air cleaning unit side by side in the same plane. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, the heat exchanger and air cleaning unit are arranged side by side on the left and right sides. When this air conditioner is operated for cooling or heating, first and second opening/closing louvers 11 and 12 installed to an air outlet 5 facing the heat exchanger are opened and third and fourth opening/closing louvers 13 and 13 facing the air cleaning unit are closed. When the air conditioner is operated for simultaneous cooling or heating and cleaning air, the first and/or second louver 11 and/or 12 and the third and/or fourth louvers 13 and/or 14 are opened. When the air conditioner is operated for cleaning air, in addition, the first and second louvers 11 and 12 are closed and the third and fourth louvers 13 and 14 are opened.</p> |
