PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component curable resin composition for coating having elevated weatherability by suppressing degradation on UV exposure of a material such as a thermoplastic resin material that is susceptible to UV discoloration or degradation, and that can furnish coating having properties such as excellent water resistance, acid resistance and stain resistance. SOLUTION: This solvent-containing one-component curable resin composition for coating comprises, as essential components, a copolymer obtained by polymerizing monomer components including (1) 3-90 mass% of a monomer having a reactive silyl group, (2) 0.3-4 mass% of a monomer having an acid group, (3) 1-80 mass% of a monomer having a UV absorbing group, (4) 0-95 mass% of another monomer, and an organic solvent having an alcoholic hydroxy group.
