PURPOSE: A waste heat recovery apparatus and a hot water supply system thereby are provided to assemble and disassemble the apparatus easily by arranging moving plates and heat transfer plates alternately, to improve heat exchange efficiency by enlarging the passage for transferring waste hot water and cool water to the heat transfer plate and regulating flow rate of fluid. CONSTITUTION: A waste heat recovery apparatus for exchanging heat by flowing first fluid and second fluid through different passages is composed of plural moving plates(500a,500b,500c) having path division guide bars for forming the fluid flow passage for zigzagging fluid, the flow region opening the upper part and the lower part and vertical penetration holes divided independently from the flow region and vertically penetrated, and heat transfer plates(400a,400b,400c,400d) installed between the moving plates and composed of plural communication holes connected to the flow regions and the vertical penetration holes. The moving plates and the heat transfer plates are arranged to pass different fluid in the upper part and the lower part of the heat transfer plate.
