PURPOSE: A monitor operated by a computer timer for preventing long time use is provided to hide a monitor screen over a predetermined time in case of use over a preset time, periodically limit accumulated time, fix a weekend use time, and offer an emergency use method. CONSTITUTION: The monitor comprises a one-chip computer, a remote control input device, and a signal interrupting device, and hides the screen over the predetermined time if the monitor is used over the preset time. The screen is hidden by using a power saving function of the monitor, interrupting the signal supplied to the monitor, or cutting off power supplied to the monitor.
