PURPOSE: A voice command recognition device with a talker adaptive type and a method therefor are provided to improve the recognition performance of a voice command by storing various voice commands as a command group with high use frequency and recognizing the voice command detected from the command group. CONSTITUTION: A voice recognizing unit(10) recognizes a voice command of a driver inputted through a microphone. A DB(30) stores each voice command group table capable of being generated for controlling various functions of devices installed in a vehicle. A control unit(20) checks only a command with high use frequency from the voice command group table, extracts a voice command matched with the recognized voice command, and controls the driving of the corresponding device of the vehicle. A driving device(40) drives the corresponding device of the vehicle by the signal of the control unit(20).
