PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair-dyeing agent less sticky and having excellent efficacy/effects (e.g. hydration property/emollient effect) of a plant-derived substance and showing a high safety, easily and inexpensively without precipitating phytosterol, or the like, ; and also provide the hair-dyeing agent capable of imparting a touch feeling close to those by lanolins without using the lanolins (liquid state lanolin, lanolin and hard lanolin). SOLUTION: This hair-dyeing agent is characterized by containing A. A: A composition prepared by distilling a byproduct obtained on extracting, reparating and purifying tocopherol from a plant oil-deodorizing distillate, esterifying the distillate with a fatty acid, decolorizing and deodorizing.
