PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for vehicle capable of obtaining information as to whether drivers in other vehicles around an own-vehicle visually recognize the own-vehicle, and a driving supporting method for vehicle. SOLUTION: The driving support device for vehicle is provided with a vehicle information detecting means (GPS (global positioning system) radio receiving part) 1 for detecting vehicle information including at least vehicle location information, a visual line detecting means 2 for detecting visual lines of a driver, and a control means 5 for performing communication processing of the vehicle information and visual line information about the visual lines of drivers between the own-vehicle and the other vehicles around the own-vehicle via an inter-vehicle communication means 3.
