摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect an alarm in an early stage in a monitoring system in which a monitoring device gathers monitoring information by performing polling at a frequency complying with the degree of importance previously set to each of a plurality of monitoring objective terminal for connecting measurement apparatus and the like. SOLUTION: The monitoring objective terminal 1, in which data returned in response to polling are restricted to information showing data quantity shortage condition normally, that is, information showing one of an alert level, a caution level, and a non-alert level, includes measurement data when an alarm is given. An importance setting part 26 in the monitoring device 2 changes the degree of importance for each terminal 1 according to the status information and increases the degree of importance according to the frequency when it is in the alert level or in the caution level. A polling control part 23 polls the respective terminal 1 at a frequency matching the set degree of importance.
