PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire monitoring system capable of easily and rapidly constructing a network. SOLUTION: A master module 14 and a number of slave modules 12 are distributed within a monitored area 10. The plurality of modules together form an ad hoc network via a communication part in an autonomous manner. Fire detection information detected by the sensor part of any of the slave modules 12 is collected to the master module 14 via the ad hoc network and transmitted to a server 16.
