To produce a cylinder spring with an upper (2) and a lower closure ring and spring arms (1) between them, especially as a tensioner for a piezo electric multi-layer actuator, the spring arms run in the wall surface of a hollow cylinder. They are in a mirror symmetry to a surface at the center (4) of the cylinder. Pins (11) are inserted into drillings (10) to lie between the spring arms, and the cylinder is rotated against a lower holder (9) for the lower ring so that the pins move the arms into the required shape of a cylinder.
