A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent erroneous discharges due to a temperature by adjusting the interval between the last sustain discharge in a sustain period and a reset period of the next sub field. A plasma display device includes a PDP(Plasma Display Panel,800), drivers(802,803,804), and a driving pulse controller(801). The PDP includes scan and sustain electrodes, and address electrodes, which cross the scan and sustain electrodes. The drivers drive the electrodes. The driving pulse controller controls the drivers, so that the timing of applying a data pulse, which is applied on at least one address electrode group including at least one of the address electrodes, is different from that of a scan pulse applied on a scan pulse, during an address period of at least one sub-field of a frame. The driving pulse controller adjusts the duration of the sustain period, when a sustain pulse is applied on the sustain electrode, so that space charges in discharge cells are reduced.
