摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated wire material excellent in wire drawability, which is a raw wire to be drawn into a wire body for reinforcing rubber; the wire body for reinforcing rubber, which is obtained by drawing the coated wire material; and a composite material comprising the wire body for reinforcing rubber and rubber. SOLUTION: The coated wire material has a coated layer containing Cu and Zn on the surface of a steel wire, and the average content of Cu in the coated layer is 5-45 mass%. When the crystal structure of the coated layer is measured by X-ray diffraction based on aθ-2θmethod using Cu-Kαray, a diffraction peak group showing the presence of a CuZn5compound is found to exist and the half-value width of a peak in a range that the diffraction angle 2θis 37.7 to 37.8°is 0.05-0.22°.
