PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triblock copolymer capable of fixing or releasing substances having various functions by reversible interaction and usable without deteriorating the dispersion stability in a solution system even if the change of morphology, etc., in the particle takes place by the fixing or release of the substance and provide a method for producing the triblock copolymer. SOLUTION: The ternary block copolymer is composed of three kinds of blocks comprising a hydrophilic block, a block having reversible interaction with a functional substance and a hydrophobic block, wherein these three kinds of blocks have different roles. Since the hydrophilic block and the hydrophobic block controlling a dispersion stability factor are constructed independent of the block interacting with a functional substance, the self-organizing ability of the triblock copolymer is fully exhibited to easily form a nano-scale polymer micelle independent of the presence of the functional substance.
