PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for HSA-protecting tool capable of simultaneously satisfying abrasion resistance and mechanical properties such as dimensional accuracy and strength, and conductivity and capable of suppressing occurrence of gas in an assembling step of a head stack assembly (HSA). SOLUTION: The resin composition is used for molding HSA-protecting tool and the resin composition is composed of a thermoplastic resin and a carbon fibril having≤0.1μm average diameter and≥5 aspect ratio. A polycarbonate-based resin and/or a polyether ketone-based resin is preferably used as the thermoplastic resin. The ratio (weight ratio) of the thermoplastic resin to the carbon fibril is approximately (99/1) to (90/10).
