<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To view a television video which is viewed under various kinds of environment as a real video also with less feeling of fatigue even under any environment by appropriately and automatically adjusting an image according to nature that human eyes adapt according to brightness of the environment in viewing of a video display device (especially a liquid crystal television). <P>SOLUTION: The video display device is constituted by combining light scattering film having particle-like minute region (internal scattering body) with different refractive index so as to more strongly scatter (Mie scattering) light of a visible light wavelength range according to particle diameter with polarization film and applying the films to a liquid crystal display element, has a measuring instrument whose change of gamma of tone is within 0.5 in the range of 45° from the front, whose contrast maintains 1:50 or more and capable of measuring illuminance of viewing environment and a means for varying tone characteristics according to the measured illuminance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
