<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular traveling control device capable of preventing a sense of incongruity from being given to an occupant of an own vehicle when decelerating the own vehicle in speed by control when controlling an acceleration/deceleration means of the own vehicle so that a vehicle-to-vehicle distance detected by a vehicle-to-vehicle distance detection means maintains a target value. <P>SOLUTION: The target acceleration/deceleration speed Act is set based on the vehicle-to-vehicle distance detected by the vehicle-to-vehicle distance detection means and the target value (Step S8).
