PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient current capacity for leads even in a small lightweight battery to reduce possibility of blower-out leads or fusion of a sheath case, and to prevent poor sealing or a sealing defect of the sheath case. SOLUTION: This battery 10 has basic battery elements each including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte interposed between them; the sheath case 6 enclosing the basic battery elements; and the leads 5 connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The respective leads 5 are led to the outside of the sheath case 6 with maintaining a sealing state of the sheath case 6. A ratio X/Y is <=0.4, and Y is <=20 mm, wherein X is a total value of widths of the leads 5 led out of each side of the sheath case 6, and Y is a length of the side, while the lead 5 has a cross section capable of securing the allowable current corresponding to five times a discharging (charging) current value when making the battery 10 making a 1-hour-rate discharging (charging). |
