PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording support having excellent recording and reproducing characteristics even in a stacked type optical recording support and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The cladded type optical recording support of this invention is manufactured by sticking a first disk and a second disk together and has at least one recording layer. The first disk having a prescribed diameter at a surface where the second disk is stuck and the second disk having a diameter smaller than the prescribed diameter at a surface where the first disk is stuck are stuck together to form the optical recording support.
