PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately constitute such a semiconductor integrated circuit that a storage capacity is increased by mounting a plurality of semiconductor chips.

SOLUTION: The semiconductor chip (1) is constituted of: a chip enable buffer circuit (2) for outputting a chip enable signal (CEB) in response to an output instruction (/CE) of the chip enable signal (CEB); a standard chip enable pad (7) for receiving the output instruction (/CE); a first expansion pad (5) for supplying a first expansion chip enable signal (/CEm+1) to the chip enable buffer circuit (2); a second expansion pad (6) for supplying a second expansion chip enable signal (CEm+1) to the chip enable buffer circuit (2); a first option pad (4) for receiving a first option signal (OP1); and a second option pad (8) for receiving a second option signal (OP2).
