PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which can be miniaturized and can have good external appearance. SOLUTION: Since a shade 10 covers a light source 24, good external appearance can be obtained, the external appearance of a lighting fixture 20 housed in the shade 10 is not required to be taken into consideration, only an function as the lighting fixture 20 is required to be satisfied, and the entire width of the lighting device can be narrowed. Since a fixed bolt 33 obliquely fastens a first connecting member 31 and a second connecting member 32 provided in both luminaires 1, 1 adjacent to each other and connected each other, more force to draw the shades 10 along their longitudinal direction can be obtained, possibility of creating a gap and a level difference between the adjacent shades 10 after execution of works can be made small in comparison with the conventional one, and better external appearance can be obtained.
