PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring a state of a signal lamp is provided to efficiently manage a traffic signal lamp by transmitting an abnormal signal to a managing system when a signal lamp is abnormal. CONSTITUTION: An optical detecting part(30) is installed in a central part of a signal lamp. A plurality of LED lamps is installed in the signal lamp. In the LED lamp is abnormal, the optical detecting part detects a state of the LED lamp, and transmits a detecting signal. In case two or more abnormal signals of the LED lamp are generated by analyzing the detecting signal transmitted in the optical detecting part, a discriminating part(50) determines the state of the LED lamp. In case the LED lamp is abnormal, a transmitting part transmits a discriminating signal determined in the discriminating part to a managing system which manages the signal lamp. |
