IDLING PREVNTTING SYSTME USING FORECAST OF SIGNAL WAITING TIME

PURPOSE: An idle preventing system is provided to automatically control an idle of a vehicle engine by receiving a signal waiting time from a traffic center. CONSTITUTION: A waiting signal confirming module(25) compares position information of a vehicle with position information of a signal unit, and confirms the signal information of the signal unit positioned in the front of the vehicle. In case the signal information confirmed in the waiting signal confirming module is a stop signal, a communication module(27) transmits a waiting time of the stop signal to a wireless terminal of user. A start waiting time confirming module(26) stores a start waiting time according to a distance of the vehicle which stands at an intersection or a crosswalk. If the signal information is changed into a start signal, the start waiting time confirming module provides a start waiting time to the vehicle according to the distance. An idle control part generates a control signal which controls an idle of an engine during the waiting time in case the vehicle is stopped.
