The present invention relates to a method for encoding a multi-view video, and more particularly to a method in which, in the case of encoding non-reference view video groups, a view compensation pattern and a parallelization view pattern are determined based on video characteristics, such as the number of bits of frames constituting a first non-reference view video group of the non-reference view video groups, a difference between the number of bits of the frames and the number of bits corresponding to a left reference view video, and a difference between the number of bits of the frames and the number of bits corresponding to a right reference view video, and a view compensation pattern and parallelization view pattern of successive non-referenced view video groups successively input after the first non-reference view video group are determined to be the view compensation pattern and parallelization view pattern of the first non-reference view video group. Accordingly, a multi-view video can be encoded at a high encoding rate without deterioration of video quality. |
