PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the pressure resistance of an oil seal to dispense with a return pipe to a fuel tank for reducing the pressure applied to the oil seal used in a high-pressure fuel pump. SOLUTION: This sealing mechanism is provided with a stress relieving mechanism for relieving the stress generated on a connecting part of an oil seal holding member and a soft member.
