PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type steam generation device and an operation method of the heat pump type steam generation device capable of continuing an operation stably even in the case where a supply amount of hot water, which serves as a heat source, drops.SOLUTION: A heat pump type steam generation device 10 includes: a heat pump type steam generation part which has a heat pump part 16 in which an exhaust heat recovery device 20, a compressor 22, a condenser 24 and a throttle expander 26 are connected in an annular maner, and which circulates a refrigerant, and a steam generation part 14 which supplies water to be heated to the condenser 24 and which generates steam by heating the water to be heated by the refrigerant; and a hot water supply part 18 which supplies the hot water stored in a hot water tank 40 to the exhaust heat recovery device 20. The hot water supply part 18 includes: a supply water supply line 46 which supplies supply water, which is supplementary water different from the heat source hot water, to the hot water tank 40; and a hot water control part 19 which, in the case where a water level of the hot water in the hot water tank 40 becomes below a predetermined water level L, supplies supply water to the hot water tank 40 by controlling the supply water supply line 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
